In this episode, I'm going to share with you everything you need to know about body recomposition, so you can make an informed decision about whether or not this is a good weight loss strategy for you. I'm going to share with you the truth about body recomposition. I know that you're probably wondering what that means, so let me explain. Body recomposition is the process of transforming your body fat into muscle. Many people believe that body recomposition is a quick and easy way to lose weight, but that's not really true. In fact, body recomposition is a very time-consuming process, and it can take up to 12 months to see significant weight loss results. So if you're looking for a quick and easy way to lose weight, body recomposition may not be the right approach for you.But if you're willing to invest the time and effort and you're looking to lose weight, you've come to the right place! We're going to share with you the truth about body recomposition – a popular weight loss technique that's often overhyped. Body recomposition is a popular weight loss technique that involves changing your overall body composition by melting fat and adding muscle. But is body recomposition really the secret to weight loss? In this video, we'll share with you the truth about body recomposition and whether or not it's actually effective. How to lose weight permanently. According to some studies, there are about 150 million American adults who are overweight, obese, or severely obese, and out of those only 60 million of us are actively working on weight loss and remodeling the body, unfortunately not with much success. People start diets, people start exercising, and eventually drop out of the program. The question is why. Why do we drop out of the program? It turns out that there are some physical and some mental reasons why that happens. One of the most the potent motivators of human behavior is hunger. Hunger can cause a person to actually take lives, such as the lives of animals and plants to eat, to satiate our hunger. Hunger is an extraordinarily powerful motivator of behavior. When we are hungry enough, long enough, we'll eat anything; actually we all know we end up eating excess food when we're hungry because the logic of the body is “I've been going hungry for so long I better eat up a lot in store in case food is missing in the future” Remember, the body evolved over millions of years to survive, and food was typically, for most of human history, scarce. It wasn't like there's food all over, like today. The body was designed to store energy reserves. Any type of exercise, any type of remodeling program that involves any kind of hunger is bound to fail and unfortunately is going to fail miserably to the degree that we're going to gain more weight than whatever little weight we lost. The second thing that happens is that there are some really complex biochemical reasons why losing weight is difficult that involves hormones, it involves readaptation of the cellular membranes, it involves biochemical pathways, it's a bit complex to discuss right now, but it isn't your fault. You know, remodeling the body is actually a complex thing, but the key to the whole thing is not even in the body; the key to succeeding at remodeling the body, losing weight and building muscle tissue, is actually in the mind. I don't mean the mind is in “oh you gotta be motivated and listen to a good tape in the morning, a good recording so that you feel motivated to go to the gym” I don't mean that kind of thing because that kind of thing is relatively superficial. By superficial I mean it is part of the rational mind. The rational mind is not what controls our behavior, particularly instinctive behavior such as reproductive behavior, eating behavior, those kinds of primitive, animalistic sorts of behaviors are not controlled by the rational mind. The rational mind can temporarily put on the veneer of the decency on our behaviors, but eventually, as we all know, particularly in the case of diet, the rationality or the rational part of the mind fails, particularly when there's hunger. This is why we have a weight epidemic. The key then to weight loss and remodeling your body is in fact in your mind; the portion of the mind that is below the level of conscious awareness. If you want to succeed, I will explain the whole thing to you in a short video that I prepared. It's really detailed, but it is really short.
